Wally Wright’s Town Walk
An interactive circular walk round the centre of our town is described in a leaflet available from
the Town Council, Library or at History Society Events, lasting about 1 hour.
It is also possible to do this as a virtual walk. In other words, you can do this from the comfort of
your armchair or desk. Clicking on a numbered place on the map below gives you some explanation.
The top-left icon reveals your way-points. The rightmost box opens the map full-screen, or in
your app.
Click on the waypoints for info. Click and drag to move, zoom with your mouse wheel/pinch and spread on devices.
Millennium Walk
There is also a leaflet for the Millennium Walk below, or it’s available as noted above, there is also a nine point QR code version of it around town, with links to our website.
The nine locations are: signpost at Church House; Sheering Mill Lock cottage; Station Road ‘finger post’ opposite the Forebury; Leat Close/Mill Lane junction; Memorial Hall; the Square opposite Rud Hair; Fair Green Footpath32 ; London Road at the end of Footpath 32 and Bell Street car park toilet block wall.
